K-State VITA Free Tax Assistance

Presented by the Johnson County K-State Extension Office

VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) - VITA offers free tax preparation of federal and state returns to low-/moderate-income working families in the Kansas City metro area. VITA also provides outreach on tax incentives, particularly the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and Child Tax Credit to low-/moderate-income taxpayers. Assistance is available in both Spanish and English. Services are provided free of charge.
