Free Tax Preparation: Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)
From the Johnson County K-State Extension Office: The IRS's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free basic tax return preparation to qualified individuals who make $64,000 a year or less.
This program is offered with two options--walk in assistance (Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays at specific times) or drop-off assistance.

If you do not qualify for the VITA program or are looking for other tax preparation options, call the United Way at 2-1-1. They will help you find tax preparation assistance in your local community.
